Installation

Install the library and its Nitro Modules peer, then rebuild your native app.

npm install react-native-media-transformer@0.1.0 react-native-nitro-modules@^0.37.1
cd ios && pod install
  • Android: API 24 or higher, using Media3 Transformer.
  • iOS: implementation baseline 15.1 or higher, using AVFoundation. Your React Native version's higher minimum takes precedence.
  • Nitro Modules: 0.37.x, with a declared peer of ^0.37.1.
  • Expo: use a native development build containing the library. Expo Go and web cannot run these exports. This release has no library-specific Expo config plugin or verified full Expo SDK matrix.

The example app uses React Native 0.86.2, React 19.2.3, and Nitro 0.37.1. Other React Native versions and legacy architecture compatibility are not verified. The package's broad React/React Native peer ranges do not establish compatibility with every version. A Metro reload alone does not install native code.
